DSC think pink

Last Friday was Dixie's "Think Pink" basketball game. I was called along with 2 others (Karen included) to represent. It was really nice.

At the women's game, they gave us an honorary tip off, then gave us flowers and we got leied. At halftime, they wanted us to share our story in a brief 2 minutes.
Later, they invited us to the VIP room for dessert and we got to meet some important people. We then stayed for the Men's game where they honored us again. It was awkward but very neat.

The other young gal in the photos was diagnosed at a very young age also. She has been in remission for 4 years but was diagnosed at age 27. Once again, I stand humbled and in awe of her inspiration and motivation. We all had a great time and it was a pretty laid back evening.

On another note. After seeing these pictures, I have decided that something needs to be done about my hair. Don't get me wrong. I am happy to have hair, but I need some styling tips. I don't know if I should give it a little trim or color it or what? Ack!

Oh Paige, I remember those days! :( It's hard. It is definately fun to have hair back and to experiment but at the same time I was just ready to have it back to the way it was. I trimmed mine a LOT and grew it out basically from the top down, if that makes sense. I just didn't want the sides and back looking scraggly while I grew it out. Good luck! :)

You're hair looks great. Luckily you have a gorgeous face so you could pull off any haircut. Looked like a fun event.

Paige,

I'm being dead serious, I really like your hair! I think it looks darling - like an expensive cut from a sheik salon!

I was honored to stand by your side. I actually thought your hair was cute too. I didn't think mine looked too bad, UNTIL I saw these pictures. In case anyone is wondering who the dark 4th woman is in one picture, it is my mother in law who is a breast cancer survivor of 25 years. She did NOT want to be honored, but we talked her into one picture. I hope and pray that Paige and I will have a LOT of happy years together to go around telling everyone " IT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU" Keep checking your own tissue monthly and catch it as early as you can!!!!!!! Love,Karen

Having done your hair before, my opinion would be darkening all of it, or blonde highlights would be really cute. If I lived closer I would do it for you... but even if you left it alone, your still beautiful!!! And I'm not so sure you were looking for an opinion, but there ya go anyway...
